TGV from CDG to Strasbourg

We hope to arrive at CDG in Terminal 2A at 8:30 and catch the TGV to Strasbourg at 11:00 am. Is this enough time - we will have check-on luggage to collect. How far is the walk to the TGV station - is it well marked? Thank you for any information.

I think that is plenty of time, assuming the plane lands on time. I'd say you have an hour of cushion time. I think the way to the TGV station is well-marked. It isn't really that difficult, it is kind of a straight shot from 2A to it, you don't have to be making lots of turns and going around and around or anything. Why not just print out the CDG map on the airport's website and you can see where it is. I'd say the walk from there is the equivalent of a couple hundred meters or a couple US blocks. It might not be quite that far.

I don't think I've ever spent more than an hour going through immigration/passport control and collecting baggage at CDG--1.5 hours at the very most. At least from 2A you don't have to worry about taking a bus from where the plane lands to the terminal (which happened to me last time for some reason, I think landing was at 2E or 2F).

Thanks for your assistance - looks like a straight walk and so we will hope plane lands on time.

It seems totally possible to me. Can we assume that you are flying from North America?

montagnac Jan 17th, 2011 06:16 AM

Yes we will be flying from Montreal on Air Canada so hoping flight will be ontime with no delays in claiming our luggage.

If your plane lands on time you'll likely end up with an hour or so to have a leisurely coffee at one of the station cafés.

Question looks answered, and hope you made it on time, montagnac.

Just want to add on StCirq's comment: I believe Bistrot Fontaine des Halles is near Terminal 2A. Got great feedback among friends about its simple, unpretentious meals.
