I received some terrific advice from this forum. I've traveled a bit, but always willing to learn from those who have been there before me. Besides, we share in your excitement!

Paris - four days (we'll assume by now traveling elsewhere is like trying to cook the entire Thanksgiving meal in a microwave - nothing comes out right.)

We were there in May and stayed in an apartment in the Latin Quarter for 4 days. We traveled a bit (Normandy / Deauville for a few days) then came back and stayed in another area - around the Louvre for another 4 days. We spent the first two days on a tour bus just trying to get acclimated.

The fun is in the planning. Some start with a travel book, I start with a map.

The Jules Verne restaurant was the highlight of our trip to Paris. Expensive, but worth it to us. www.lejulesverne-paris.com/
