I think they've done something, because I'm getting blazing speed - I tested by opening the "Mom/Prison" thread, which usually takes a while to open, but it just popped up.

Excellent observation, Elizabeth. The search function is also working much faster for me, as it used to do in the brief days of the New Format.

On the other hand, the search function seems to be working erratically. I entered "Neuschwanstein" and got 50 hits almost instantly; that prompted my last post above. Then I tried it again and got nothing. Go figure.

Search function lightning fast? I agree - - but retrieves nothing!! what is this? and I tried a bunch of different words - - not just my name. Am I locked out?<BR>

Definitely some hiccups on the search function. Sometimes my screen has the text field plus the country field (and the search works) sometimes it has just the text field (and the search doesn't work at all).

Everything is changing before our eyes. The country seach menu is gone. Good. It was useless anyway. <BR>Rex: Just about everything I search for with more than one word comes back empty. The search gives me a super fast reply that it can't find anything.<BR>Let's hope this work in progress eventually improves things.<BR><BR>Gerry

Silly me, thinking that the search glitch (temporary?) had ANYthing to do with me! Stupid and paranoid on my part. I apologize for even thinking it.<BR>
