whenzuc - my daughter just graduated from USel too. We probably saw each other at the stadium (fat chance)- go Hens! Do you have a place to stay in Prague? In Vienna? The last hotel we stayed in Vienna was the Best Western Tigra. It is not a "grand" hotel, but it's a solid 4* with a great Mozart history and what may be the best buffet breakfast we have had anywhere. Off season it was quite reasonable. The Hirsch Wine Garden in the Grinzing district was authentic and very good. We went there 2 nights in a row.

I have been grappling with a very similar question. I REALLY wanted to see Terazin, but decided we have too little time in Prague to fit it in. However, reading all these posts I am wondering if I should reconsider. We drive from Dinklesbuhl in Germany to Prague on Saturday 23rd June. We have a private guide lined up for Sunday 24th for 5 hours and again for 3 hours on the Monday morning. We leave Prague at lunch time (Monday 25th) for Cesky Krumlov where we spend the night. Explore Cesky Krumlov next morning before travelling to the Wachau Valley. I know it is all very rushed - we had not originally planned to add the Czech Republic to our trip of Austria and Germany - but the more I read the more I became fascinated. I really am torn between seeing Terazin and being practical about how little time we have.
