Tenon tours

Anyone use tenon tours "hopper tour" for Ireland? How early did you book?
Thanks!

I used Tenon Tours for 2 vacations but neither were the Hopper tour. In 2011, they made all the arrangements. They booked the hotels, transfers, and a driver for 4 days. We booked our own flights. In 2015, we did a self guided tour in Scotland and England. They booked the hotels, transfers, train, and day tours. We booked our flights. I thought Tenon did a fantastic job organizing everything but still giving us an independent experience.

I was wondering if the prices change as you get closer to the tour dates? How early did you book your travel?

As I said, we did not use Tenon for their common tours but used them to book an independent tour. Our first tour was 10 days in which Tenon provided us with a private driver for 4 of those days. We didn't need a driver in Dublin or Galway. Tenon made the arrangements for us to take a bus from Galway to the Aran Islands. I didn't think the cost of the private driver was very expensive especially with all the extra attention we received. He drove us from Galway to Dublin with overnight stops in Kilkenny and Killarney. He drove us to the Cliffs and around the Dingle Peninsula. He also took us to Waterford and Cork. I think we booked about 6 months in advance. Once you send in a deposit, they shouldn't be able to raise the rates. Stephanie from Tenon made the arrangements for us. Tenon made our trip to Ireland wonderful, that's why we used them again for Scotland and London.
