Temperature in August in Spain

We want to visit Costa del Sol around the first two weeks in August next year and would like to know what the temperature is. We don't like it to be too hot and humid. Is it humid as well at that time of the year? Please advise. Thanks.

If you don't like too hot and humid avoid Costa del Sol in August.

It's too too hot. You chose the hottest month there!

We spent two weeks in Estepona last August - it was extremely hot. There's a reason Spain is called the frying pan of Europe...

We did have fun though - we learned VERY early on that we had to pace ourselves. The heat at about 3 pm is really brutal. We tried to spend the late afternoon at the hotel pool or at the beach. (There's a real reason why Spaniards siesta!)

to figaro: It's true Southern Spain is very hot during the summer, but not All Spain!!!. The frying pan of Europe is called Ecija ( A village near Sevilla). If you go to northern Spain the temperatures in Summer are from 20-24ºC. Spain is a big country with a very diferent climates. Spain has mediterranean, atlantic, continental and alpine climates. It depends on the place you go (South- mediterranean hot. Est-Mediterranean mild. North - Atlantic . Pyrenees - High mountain climate and central Spain continental).
