telus cell phone - will it work in london and paris??
hi there. will our telus cell phone (based in toronto) work in london and paris? if we take it, we would plan to use it for emergency purposes only. thx

Is telus a gsm carrier or a cdma carrier?
Does telus allow international roaming?
Do telus mobile phones, if it is gsm, have the European frequencies (900 and 1800) as well as the Canadian (same as USA) ones 850 and 1900?
Your best bet is to check with telus. A quick glance at Howard forums tells me that telus is a CDMA provider so the answer is a resounding, emphatic NO...unless they make special phones available but in general it would not be compatible with European service providers.
