Thanx Marilyn for the link, it was great to see the faces of some Fodorites (like you!).The get together seemed fun! Maybe someone here could get an idea of something similar, where we can add our pixies (this reminds me an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer would take the pictures of everyone living in their building so that everyone got to know the other people living there! That cracked me up!).

Darn I couldn't get into the link. I've always thought of Marilyn with med. browne hair with some silver highlights that she doesn't worry about. Always well groomed but with a bit of spark in her classic clothing. An individual in very comfortable shoes.

Marilyn Feb 23rd, 2004 01:57 PM

I love this because so far no one has been thinking of me as a fat 26-year-old. :-) On the down side, no one is thinking of me as a gentlemanly older scientist either. :-(

mcgeezer, you're right about the shoes! But I would describe my style of dress as more casual and fun than classic. I never worried about my silver highlights until they began to overtake the rest. Then I decided **** it and became a redhead, more or less.

Try going to www.worldisround.com and searching under my name for a personal post (as opposed to travel). That should pull it up.

Thanks Marilyn, I found it. You were a little different then I thought but I wasn't surprised by the easy smile. But was that "easytraveler" who posts here??? I always thought of easytraveler as a 34 year old white guy. There goes the mystery...

Marilyn Feb 23rd, 2004 03:07 PM

I think easytraveler will get a big kick out of that.

StCirq, exactly what kind of science did you practice that turned you into an older gentleman? :)

Marilyn Feb 23rd, 2004 03:22 PM

Alchemy, for sure! The transformational art...:-D LOL Capo!

HeatherH remarks

>ira, I had always pictured you as kind of short (no offense!) and thin, with short reddish brown hair.<

Actually, I am a 3' 4'' gnome, weigh 28 lbs, and do have brownish red hares living in my back yard.

Very good.

Lord, I hope so...

Sfowler has maintained this Fodorite page for years!

But Marilyn, it was fun to see some left coasters!

And Chicken Marbella...one of my favorite recipes!!

Now, Degas..and where in the world has Degas been lately??????. HAs he been hanging with Carmen Santiago? A tall , in shape, military retiree..silver haired, with a wicked sense of humor, who has never seen a pig farm!

Ira...I see you a a shortish, mild mannered, retired pharmacist! No matter, I am one too, but not short!

BrimhamRocks Feb 23rd, 2004 08:45 PM

You people are a real hoot!

StCirq Feb 24th, 2004 06:13 AM

Capo, dear, it's not science, it's SURGERY :)

HeatherH Feb 24th, 2004 01:18 PM

Exactly how I pictured you ira! (except for the pointed hat.) Who knew? Do you like to chase cats too?
