Tell me your top 5 destinations

I've only been to Europe once and am looking forward to planning my next trip. But where to go? Too many choices! So I look to you, the more experienced traveler, to help me. Tell me your top 5 (or 2, 6, 10...whatever) destinations (city or country) and why you enjoy traveling there. Write as much as you want and I look forward to reading your responses.

Italy!!! (The Amalfi Coast is the most beautiful place on earth) Venice--transports you to a different place and time! Rome Paris is a must see. You either love it or hate it! I enjoyed Barcelona, Spain. Am going to Ireland in a month and hear it is the most beautiful and friendliest of places!
