It's been a while since I was there ...

Konigsallee (or close spelling) has many very expensive shops of very high quality goods.

Take a river tour. You can leave from Dusseldorf, and go somewhere and back on the same boat, or you can take the train somehwere out of town, get off, and take the boat back to Dusseldorf.

If you like old churches, take the train to Cologne.

And there's an old town area with lots of good walking. But, truth to tell, I left the city and went to Amsterdam and Paris instead of staying in Germany.

BAK

HI xxx,
yes - but - only
in the cities of the Rhineland
and only on
thursday 07.feb beginning at 11.11hrs11sec a.m.
Than the so called "Möhnen"(costumed women) overtake the control over the townhall/city hall until asher wednesday.
So than you will find all over the city
signging dancing, and chopped ties,
stranger's (women or man) kissing you,
costumed, colored - crazy.
And ALTBIER (odlbeer, it's fresh dark)
in every corner. The weather doesn t matter at all. Every year thousands go to the streets of Düsseldorf, cologne or Mainz (mainly) and shops will open only until 2pm but - from 11.11 no serious sales are possible !
Than this goes on for five days !!!
Shain / eu / de /düsseldorf
