Tell me about a seaside destination that is more stunning than Santorini
Just curious if there is one. Thinking about my next vacation, would love to go back but want to force myself to go somewhere different.

Honestly, I think the Cinque Terre villages are just as incredible. And to me, the views from the water, looking back to the villages, are more awesome.

Then there is Portofino, a very compact yet stunning location. Or St. Tropez's harbor area, with the seaside shops and the sailboats.

Or you can name a number of other Greek islands besides Santorini that are just about as lovely. It just depends on what stuns you.

The Amalfi Coast and Capri have some pretty stunning views. And if it's just a connection of land and water you are looking for, consider some of the Italian or Swiss lakes. I love the Ticino and Lago Maggiore and Lake Geneva at the Lausanne to Montreux end.

Hydra- beautiful!

I like Camogli (just over the hill from Portofino but miles apart in atmosphere and local color) but then I have never been to Santoini and I hear it is beautiful and then there Kauai, Hawaii most especially Na Pali which has a stunning coast line as does most of Kauai. Shar

Positano, Cassis, Camogli, Venice, Lake Como Those are 5 of my six favorite places on earth. (the sixth is Paris) I share your "water thing" For a place to stay, consider Il Pelicano north of Rome and on the sea. Views from the pool and main house are fabulous and besides the sea there is a forest of super tall umbrella pines so the wind whistles softy overhead. It's in Porto Ercole and pricey but wonderful.
