Telepass
 

How can I obtain a Telepass ? Is it a simple process once in Italy or is there a way to obtain one in advance of my trip . We'll be there for 3 months and it seems like the best way to be paying our tolls!!

I have never used Telepass since I am not a big autostrada user, but according to http://www.telepass.it/ecm/faces/pub...e-vendita.html (only in Italian, use Google or Yahoo translator) you can make a contract at any Punto Blu office at major autostrada toll-gates, or from participating banks or post-offices, and pay by credit card, direct debit or bancomat.I should imagine you will need at least a local address and a codice fiscale number.

i find it easier to buy a Viapass card from any manned toll-booth, its a 25 euro debit card for use on the autostrada system.

Don't Berlosconi own the autostrada - maybe you can buy one from him?
