technology-- is anyone using a vpn on a Surface tablet in Europe or UK

Jump to last reply

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Am wondering if anyone has tried to put a VPN on a Microsoft Surface ( the Windows 8 RT). I bought the thing to travel with, but absolutely need a PPTP vpn (or other vpn, I suppose, am not all that sophisticated about them). When I bought it, I was told, "Of course you can put a vpn on, why not?"

Turns out there are many reason why not, too annoying and contradictory to go into. Explanations on the internet have confused the youth who fixes my laptop, so he's no help. Ditto Microsoft. It is too late to get my money back.

So I would really like to know if anyone has accomplished the feat of putting a PPTP vpn on a Surface Windows 8 RT, and if so, how? Or perhaps someone can suggest a travel-friendly tech forum.

Thanks.
