Tea at Musée Jacquemart-André?

I know someone suggested Sunday brunch on the other thread. I don't think that would work for me, but I see there is also tea, for 9 Euros.

This seems like a very reasonable price, based on what I've read about teas elsewhere. Does anyone know if this is basically a collection of desserts (in which case the sugar might get excessive), or if there would be any non-sweet savory items included? I'm not sure if "Un large choix de pâtisseries maison" would be sweet items only. In any event, has anyone had tea here, and can you comment on the quality of the experience?

It looks like you get your choice of one dessert for the 9 euros:

"Une formule à 9.00 € comprenant:
une pâtisserie au choix
un thé"

sorry, posted too soon...

Meant to say, it looks like you get a choice of one dessert, as opposed to an all-you-can-eat sort of tea with lots of goodies and sandwiches.

Hi W,

Even at 9E for 1 pastry and a glass of tea, it's a lovely room.

You get a good feel for how the other 0.0005% live.

One pastry, one tea. I'd still probably do it, though tea at the Cafe de la Paix isn't bad, either.

after touring the musée we enjoyed a coffee in the tea room. it is a very relaxing/charming place to engage in a snack and conversation, whether you have their "tea" or just stop in anyway without even visiting the museum.

I presume that the "glaces" and "sorbets" must be purchased separately from the formula, then. It sounds like this could be nice, but not necessarily worth scheduling my visit around.
