Taxis from Termini Train station in Rome

Does anyone know if there are taxis waiting to take a traveller from the Termini train station to your hotel in the historical center of Rome? How much do you think that might cost?

yes, there are taxis waiting for you. Just be sure to get an official taxi (they will use the meter), there is a line to queue for these. Other unofficial ones will stop you will you are walking, do not under any circumstances go with one of these or you will almost most definately be "taken for a ride". I can't remember how much we paid, but it was really resonable, maybe 7 or 8 Euros? Have a great time!

Kelly is absolutley correct. Wait in the long line for the official taxis. It moves fairly quickly. We watched as an unofficial driver made a deal with an American in a hurry for $100.00 to take him to a hotel that would have cost him about $30.00 if he had just waited a few minutes.

THIRTY dollars? (USD?) or a HUNDRED?

where WERE these hotels?

For 90% of hotels in Rome, it seems like the cab fare from Termini would not exceed 10-15 euros.

Best wishes,

Rex
