Taxis at Paestum
Does anyone know if there are taxis available at Paestum? I am taking a group of students there and I want to take them to Vannulo for gelato and I thought the easiest way would be to take a taxis. Thank you in advance for any help or info!

I apologize in advance for what will seem a non-response, but have you thought of taking them for something made with buffalo mozzarella instead? It is a local specialty and is available at the cafes beside the site. Sorry, I don't know whether taxis are available....
BTW, do include time to visit the museum while there -- it has some very unusual pieces and is well laid out. Enjoy! Paestum is wonderful. Your students are lucky that you are making this option available to them. :-) |
yes, I have been to Paestum, and I have been to Vannulo before. It is a buffalo mozzarella farm, the sells, yoghurt, gelato, mozzarella, and other goods. There is also a leather shop. I love the museum there. Tomb of the diver is in all of our art history books. Mainly i need help getting from Paestum to Vannulo. I usually have a car of my own, but since I am taking students, we are using public trans.

The Tomb of the Diver is amazing, isn't it?
Sorry I wasn't of greater assistance. Good luck! |
I would suggest arranging for a driver to meet you at Paestum when the visit is over.

I do not recall seeing a taxi stand at Paestum. Arranging for a driver to meet you would be a better option.

thanks! i will look into that. C

You can almost certainly call a taxi; here is one site reportedly with a 24-hour phone number.
