Taxi or Train to Latin Quarters - Hotel Europe St. Severin

I will staying in the Latin Quarters at the above hotel. Can you tell me how much it would cost to get a taxi into the latin quarters? Would you suggest the train? If you suggest the train, is it easy to get on a train?

Thank you so much for your help.

P.S. We are leaving September 21. Thank you.

From where? Airport?

emalvarez Aug 26th, 2011 11:53 AM

Oops! I left off a real important detail. Yes from Charles de Galle airport.

Airport to the Hotel - taxi or train? How much would it cost to take a taxi?

Thanks for your help.

From CDG airport: take RER commuter train (Line B) to St Michel stop. About a 3 block walk from RER exit.

On Google Map, enter "Paris Hotel St Severin" to see RER station and hotel location.

Taxi, depending on time of day, ~50 euro
Train ~9 euro pp

As an option, is a taxi expensive from the Airport to the hotel? Thanks again.

Wow, what a difference. Train for me. Thanks for your help.

I forgot to ask one more question. Will it be difficult to take the train with luggage?

StCirq Aug 26th, 2011 12:05 PM

Depends how much luggage.

Michel_Paris Aug 26th, 2011 12:17 PM

The train line starts at CDG, so you will be entering with other travellers. I've travelled from there with a larger roll-on. There are areas to put bag, then can sit and watch them. Time of day will determine if train will fill up as you enter centre of city.

If you had LOTS of bags...maybe a taxi or shuttle.

My husband and I will each have one piece of luggage each. Sounds like we should be okay to take the train. Thank to you all for you help.
