Taxi: Heathrow to Russell Square Area - How Much??

Our daughter is headed to London tomorrow for a semester, flying into Heathrow. She will have too much baggage to make the Tube practical upon arrival. What's your estimate of taxi fare from Heathrow to Russell Square area?

I should add that Russel Square is on the Piccadilly Line direct tube from Heathrow, no changes. When you get on at Heathrow you're at the beginning of the line so getting a seat is never a problem. Unless you have a lot of luggage to manage I'd suggest trying it.

Taxi - around 65BPs so around $105

Shared bus shuttle service - around 20BPs so around $35. Door to door but only if it's one of the hotels in the area. I have used this service couple of times and had no issues. It does make few stops so the trip is longer but for the price it's worth it.

Just airports private Shuttle is around 50 GBP they meet you as you exit customs and carry your baggae to the car and drop you off at you door. Worth every penny!!

A car service would still be cheaper than a taxi. Just let them know how much luggage there'll be. I would never consider the tube if I had much more than a carry on. There's no place for luggage and getting it on/off the tube can be a problem.

absolutely use justairports.com - ring them up since it is just tomorrow.

Will cost much less than a cab - likely less than £40 unless she has an absolute mountain of luggage.

The nice people here recommended justairports.com to me when my daughter was arriving in London last summer with a lot of luggage. We booked it online and it worked out beautifully.

I agree with Justairports. We use them all the time. Going to UCL?
