taxi from victoria station to West Kensington/Hammersmith
 

does anyone have an idea what this might cost? I read somewhere that Victoria tube station has stairs only(no escalator?!), so am thinking of a cab. Thanks! And yes, it will be rush hour.

It will be about £10 in a black cab. However its only about 6 stops on the tube and there is definitely an escalator (although there may be a few steps at the bottom) so that's also an option

To the District and Circle line I think there are steps within the Victoria tube station (and quite a narrow staircase too). More importantly, there are staircases to exit at Hammersmith and West Ken.

Hammersmith has lifts.
