No In-Room Safe

What do you do with your valuables (when you leave your hotel room), when there is no in-room safe?

Usually there is a safe at the front desk where you can keep valuables.

Put them in a safety deposit box at the front desk.

I never leave my valuables (money, passport, tickets, plastic, couple of pieces of jewelry) in my room, even in the "safe." I generally stay in nice hotels, but still...things can disappear anywhere. I also know of at least 2 cases where the hotel's own safe deposit boxes were stolen (removed completely) not counting the really big heists one reads about from time to time in the news.

I have 5 valuables: passport, driver's license, credit cards, currency, and airplane tickets. I carry them with me.
If you consider my watch a valuable, it stays on my arm.
I never leave anything of value at the hotel. I agree with Bob Brown completely. If it's valuable, it's with me or it's at home. The only exception to this would be at a beach resort - then I leave a few things in the safe, but most of it comes to the beach on me or with me.
