Taxi from CDG airport to Paris hotel

Hi,

I'm looking for some idea of taxi fares from Charles de Gaulle (Terminal 3) to the Hotel des Victoires, 19, rue Hérold - 75001 Paris. There will be 4 of us, with 2 or 3 small pieces of luggage, and we would arrive roughtly around 5:00pm. Any rough idea of how much it might cost? Hotel has offered Shared shuttle, 69 euros for four people.

Thanks,

M

Depending on the day of the week and traffic conditions, probably 40-55€.

Paying MORE for a shared shuttle that may stop at other hotels and may take a while to get going while waiting for more people, than you'd pay for your own taxi (mini-van type ones readily available) makes NO sense.

EXACTLY what Patrick said. PLUS waiting for the shuttle to arrive=sitting around CDG while you could be in your taxi and on your way.

Hi M,

Make sure you get a legal taxi from the cab stand. Don't accept offers from guys standing around the airport.

Hi,

Thanks so much for confirming my thoughts about the hotel's "offer"! By the way, how does one identify the legal cabs? When I went there the last time some years ago, they had Taxi written in blue on top, as far as I remember -- is that still the case?

M.

Agreed take the taxi. Make sure you go to the designated taxi stand rather than with drivers who may approach you in the terminal. Also, note that the drivers will automatically add a price per bag to your posted fare.

3 weeks ago our cab (with 4 people, 4 small rolling suitcases and 4 small carry-on totes) cost 62EUROS (that included a small tip) from CDG to 5th arr. (Rue Claude Bernard). Traffic was bad (slow). We got the cab at the official taxi stand right outside the airport. Of course, don't go off with anyone who approaches you at the airport.
