Taxi fare in Barcelona?
Can someone please give me an estimate of what I can expect to pay for taxi fare between the airport and the Cathedral area? Thank you for your help.

I would guess 20-25 euros, depending on variables like traffic. We took the (cheap) airport train to Placa Catalunya, and a cab from there to our hotel in the Gothic Quarter. (The train wasn't more than 4 euro, and the cab from Catalunya to Barri Gotic was about 5 euro)

I always stay at the Placa Catalunya end of La Ramblas and I think that it usually costs 30-40 euros.

There is also frequent bus service from the airport to the Placa Catalunya; it runs more frequently than the train (which runs every 30 minutes) and there are racks for luggage, etc.
