Taxi CDG to St. Lazare?
Can anyone guesstimate the cost and how long it should take to taxi from CDG to St. Lazare train station on a Monday about 1:00 p.m.? Merci!

1 hr.
€45. Your Mileage May Vary If price and time are go/no-go criteria, look at taking the RER. For €8,10, you get a ticket all the way in about 45 minutes, not subject to surface delays. The downside is that you have to change RER lines at Gare du Nord/Magenta, and with too much luggage it can be an ordeal, if only a slight one. |
Robespierre, you nailed it pretty closely. It was 52 Euro including the tip and tool just under an hour! Thanks for the advice.

If you take the RER route, unless you do not land in Terminal 1 like many non-Air France trans-Atlantic flights do then you also have to take a free navette (shuttle bus) from terminal one to the actual RER station - adding about 20-30 mins onto the ride and more hassle with lots of bags. There is an RER station inside Terminal 2.
I thought there was an air bus CDG- Opera, right by Saint-Lazare but i'm sure Robes would have mentioned that as he is the guru on Parisian public transports IME. |
According to the RATP website, the bus to the Opera is still in operation. It is not "right by St. Lazare" but it is walking distance if you are not too burdened down with luggage.
