Taxi cabs to and from Paris airports

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but hopefully this will answer it once and for all. How much is a cab for 2 people with luggage from Orly to central Paris (have not reserved hotel yet) and then from central Paris to CDG. Merci.

Not sure of your definition of "central Paris," but we recently took a taxi from CDG to an area near the Latin Quarter for about 50 euros.

Hi em,

About 50-65E depending on traffic.

Timing would be Saturay afternoon from Orly and Sunday morning to CDG. I assume less traffic then?

Less traffic but a higher rate -- there are 3 different taxi rates in Paris, depending on the time of day and the day of the week.

This won't settle it once and for all any more than the other posts which you don't believe. It varies, and some people have different perceptions and have had one experience that they base their opinion on that may have been unusual. I remember someone saying it typically would only take 35 euro from CDG into central Paris, and I've never spent that little and I've done it quite a few times. I've only spent that little to the upper part of Paris near Porte St Denis.

Orly is closer to Paris than CDG, at least the very center. But you could spend as much if you really are going to the northern side of Paris from Orly. If not, Orly would probably be more like 35-40 euro. I'd peg CDG at 45-50 euro.

No one seems to be mentioning Orly. I have never paid over 25 euro, usually less from there to anywhere near St. Michel. And from there I've usually paid more around 50 euros to CDG.

So, there you have it E.

Anywhere from 25 to 65E.

Are you on a tight budget? If so, see http://tinyurl.com/kbw6y

Here's a link to a taxi service that seems to answer your question. http://www.taxi-paris.net/pgeCDGinfo%20eng.html

Mimmel: Have you used the taxi service in your link? The fares are pretty reasonable.

Mimmel Oct 8th, 2007 06:45 PM

Yes, I've used them several time. They have been reliable. There was a bit of confusion about where I was to meet them at CDG but I attributed that to the language difference.

Mimmel Oct 8th, 2007 06:48 PM

Sorry, I lost the thread. I've never used the taxi service. I've used Leader Shuttle which was the post just before this. It jsut seemed that this provided the answer to the question asked.
