Tasty finds

So little time, so much to do. Please share your best little secret eateries in Rome. I have 3 days, need mid-priced delicious places for lunch/dinner. Any good finds appreciated.

Well, they're not secret, but the good news is that although crowded, everyone was seated pretty soon after they arrived.

Nino, near the Spanish Steps on via Borgognona. Terrific artichokes, tortellini in broth, eggplant, canelloni and tiramisu. Very professional staff, reasonable prices. Buca di Ripetta at 36 via di Ripetta, utterly fantastic service, good, unpretentious food & a surprisingly extensive menu for such a small restaurant. Rosetta (near the Pantheon)for seafood, absolutely mandatory, although not a bargain, I have never eaten such fresh & delectable seafood. Enotica Antica is like a little neighborhood place, a bar in front & a dining room with tables in the back, on via della Croce, again pretty close to the Spanish Steps. Dal Bolognese near Piazza del Popolo had an interesting mixed pasta plate with 4 different pastas & four different sauces, which I thought was inventive & well-executed.

Buon Viaggio & Buon Appetito!
