Tarbert-Killimer ferry - seasonal?

Hi,

I wonder if any 'Ireland expert' can help me!
We will be Ireland early next month and will be driving from Dingle to Galway. I'm wondering if the Tarbert-Killimer ferry runs in November and, if so, where I could find a timetable?

Also, how long would that drive take us, please? I keep reading how slow driving is, and so I'm finding it difficult to guess driving times.
Thanks very much for any help!
It runs year round. See www.shannonferries.com for timetable

The drive is about 5 - 6 hours plus ferry time

Hi Andrew,

Yes, the ferry runs year round. It departs from the north side of the Shannon on the hour, and departs from Tarbert on the half-hour. If you're traveling during the day, you'll be fine. It'll take aobut six to seven hours from Dingle to Galway--if you go directly from Ennis to Galway. YOu could also head to the coast line, stop at the Cliffs and the continue around Black Head. It'll take longer, but at least you will have seen some sites! The road above Doolin, on the edge of the Burren, is spectacular.
Also, did you know that AOL has a great Irish Travel Board? On the opening AOL page, click on <travel>, then follow the markers to <message boards>, then for Ireland and then travel. We have a great group of knowledgable people...
I've already mentioned a few places and agree with others. Now I have a photo
plea! As I am getting pictures developed, I find that my roll taken at Russborough and Glendalough and Wicklow Mnts. are ruined! Could anyone send me a few duplicate slides or tell me how to get some? I really would appreciate it. You can contact me directly. Thanks!
...Bill in Missouri
