Tara Lodge in Belfast

Based on 624 reviews (500 of them Excellent) at TripAdvisor.com this four star AA establishment is ranked #1 in Belfast. Yet, Steves, Fodor, and the Michelin green book don't see fit to mention it.

Any clues why?

They are www.taralodge.com and I;m about to book four or five nights with them and am curious to know more.

Thanks,
BigBlue

The Tara Lodge is a small hotel in Botanic area of the city. It dose get good reviews, i think it is not rated by other guides as it used to be a just AA rated. You need to pay to be rated in some guides. I know this for a fact as i am a tour guide in the city. It is a very good hotel.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm also going to be exploring taking a cab tour and it looks like you might be in that very business. Do you have a website or e-mail address for me, please?

Venere.com is a good website to validate choices. They are loosely associated with TripAdvisor, particularly in reviews.

Here's Venere's review page. http://www.venere.com/inns/belfast/t...ouse/#overview

In Venere, it's considered a guest house, not a hotel.

Thanks to Rastaguytoday for the link to Venere. To CabtoursNI are you Paddy or Bobby?
