Tara Copthorne?
Got a great rate for three nights on Priceline, but haven't been able to find any info on tripadvisor. Has anyone had a stay there?

There are lots of reviews on TripAdivsor here:

Thanks - must have been searching wrong.

I stayed there for 6 nights a while back. Nothing great; nothing egregious. It is near to the tube entrance for Kensington High Street station and to the bus lines on the High Street itself.
It is a full service hotel. Good as any below plush quality I guess. |
Also many reviews on Bidding for Travel. Hope you used this site prior to bidding.

I stayed there for 5 nights last November. Got a great rate with Priceline. I had no complaints at all.
Nice hotel has all amenities and a very friendly staff. Rooms are standard but large by London sizes! I have stayed in some smaller hotels in London where the entire room would have fit in the bathroom of the Copthorne so I was happy there. It is near the tube station and also the Marks and Spencer grocery. Has a little refridge in the room to keep munchies so that was a nice plus. Walking distance to Kensington Palace too. All in all I was well pleased. Only drawback is that the hotel is a little hard to find. If you are taking the tube, get off at Kensington High Street and go left after you exit. You will see the Boots Pharmacy store. Right before you enter the store there is an alley way leading outside. Take that to the end and you will see the hotel in front of you, tucked back in the end of the street. Hope this wasn't too much info and that it was helpful. |
