Taormina to Cinque Terre?
 

Hi All!

It's been a while since I logged on. You
all were so helpful with my last trip.

In the Fall, I will be traveling to Siclily with my siblings. Based in Taormina and will have trips to Siracusa and throughout Sicily.

My question is: Is it possible to do a day trip to Cinque Terre (via train/boat?) It has always been a place of fascination for me. I plan to take this trip on my own. I'm adventurseome and not at all timid.

NO WAY. It's much, much too far!

We are spending a week in Tuscany and 10 days in Sicily and it takes the better part of a day to get from one to the other by plane. Cinque Terre would be even more difficult!

Try looking at a map of Italy. From Taormina to the Cinque Terre is about 1100 km or 680 miles.
