Tango on the Quai Saint Bernard in Paris
This is discussed sporadically, since it is regularly discovered by the people who take evening cruises along the Seine.
However, I thought I would revive the topic, since for one thing it is the proper season to see it (or even participate), and for another it is a lovely event where people have fun spontaneously. So here is my old tango thread again, along with some recent additions: http://tinyurl.com/3cu876j |
I want to be there NOW! Instead, I think I'll buy a pair of shoes like that to tide myself over to the next trip.
I can't believe I hadn't seen this report before, K. Thanks for posting it again. Your photos are both fun and dreamy. I'm having withdrawals and it's only been a month. Sigh-h-h. |
fun....I love that you took shoe photos!!! Your stock just rose 100 points with me!!
|
Are you serious about the expressways being closed permanently? What would take their place?
|
Nothing would take their place. The era of the unnecessary private vehicle is coming to an end.
|
Here is some information (in French) about the project:

The idea sounds great, but … I'll believe it when I see photos of the finished project!
|
My French isn't good enough to really understand the link to the article, but I loved the fact that there was an ad for a BMW car right at the top!
|
That was fun! More shoes, please.

Much better than the line dancing. |
I made a new dancing report about last night on the Quai Saint Bernard if anybody is interested:

We're arriving Sept. 11. Will this still be going on?
|
It continues as long as the weather holds up.
|
The video really took us there, and those sunset photos across the river---fantastic!
We've seen the dancing so many times, maybe this time we'll join in. Our Sept. trip can't arrive soon enough. 24 days and counting. |
All times are GMT -8. The time now is 11:38 PM. |
