Taking Metro from Airport to City Center

The hotel I am staying at gives these instructions from getting from the Athens Airport to Monastriraki Station:
"From the airport you can reach the hotel by metro by changing lines in the station D. Plakentias, towards Egaleo, and then get off at Monastiraki Station."

From everything else I'm reading, it just appears I just need to get on Line 3 and stay on that until arriving at Monastiraki Station. So do I need to switch trains or not?
