I will be visiting Montreux switzerland this year.how is the weather all year?Does it snow?Does it get really cold?

What can you do around there?Any big shopping malls?Bars?Clubs?Anything much to do?

What are some advice or tips for this area?

Thanks

Tbey don't call it the "Swiss Riviera" for nothing.

Getting precise weathre advise will be facilitated by your telling us exactly when you might be there.

Hi swizz123,

It's usually warm in Montreux with no snow, though in winter it does get chilly & wet. August & September are blazing.

Here is my list of favorite activities from Montreux:

Montreux old town

Lavaux

Promenade Fleuri

Morges

Gruyeres

So, let's see --

Big shopping malls? Yes, in the Forum, in the center of town, above the McDonalds.

Bars? Plenty, on main street and on the lakesdie promenade. You may want to get to the new-ish wine bar in the restaurant La Rouvenaz. Also, the Casino in the center of town is a hopping place.

Clubs? See above.

Hope this helps!

Rarely would you see snow. Although they did have a horrible big hail storm that did damage this past winter. What month will you travel?

Sure there are bars and clubs. You might want to reach out into Lausanne or even Geneva depending on what kind of thing you're looking for.

While there's certainly some shopping at The Forum as Swandav mentioned above, I wouldn't exactly call it a "big shopping mall"
;-)
