Switzerland - Jungfrau in May

I have read many thread about Jungfrau, people say it worth going on a clear day, but not on a cloudy day. Generally, what is the weather like in the region at the end of May? I am debating if I should spend one day or two full days in Interlaken to visit Jungfrau, depending on weather.

Thanks in advance.

How can anybody know it? Just because end of May is more or less early summer, nobody can say whether there will be sunshine or a rain front passing through, or anything in between.

That´s exactly the problem - you should plan so that you are able to decide this ON THE DAY. There is still enough to do and see in the valley if the weather is not favourable.

You can use a site such as www.weatherunderground.com to look at the weather history of a particular place but the problem is..it is HISTORY which doesn't necessarily repeat itself.

Personally, there is enough in that general area to see and do that whether or not it is clear or cloudy may not matter all that much...if you must spend only one day I suggest having alternative activities in mind so you won't be disappointed.

Another complication is that it may be really nice at the lower elevations and be bad weather on the Jungfrau. This happened to us in July--blizzard on top of the mountain.
