Destination help

We will be heading to Europe in May for 2 weeks. We are in our 30's like people watching, hiking, shopping, eating, walking tours.... Although we will visit a few not so much into museums, catherdrals, etc.

So far we have selected Prague & Vienna and are looking for a 3rd destination - we plan to do 4-5 days are each location. What would you suggest? Switzerland, Budapest, Cinque Terre (or is it too far), someplace in Germany, south of France....or someplace else....

Our favorite places to date are the Almafi Coast, Capri, Rome, Vienna, Florence, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris & London...

Thanks

Check out Berchtesgaden, Germany as you'll be visiting Vienna nearby. Ther are mountains to hike great restaurants, The Eagles Nest (Hitler's mountain top hideaway) a salt mine nearby that you can go down into on a small train and they give miners clothes to dress up in, and up the road toward Munich is Chiemsee, one of Ludwig's castles. you can also cut through Austria to Fussen and see the two of Ludwigs other castles, Neuschwanstein ( looks like Cinderella's castle) and Linderhof. Oberammergau and Garmischpartenkirchen are are also near Linderhof.

You have not mentioned Venice in your list of favorites. That could be a possibility.

Hi a,

Since you are in Central Europe, why not Budapest?

Why not do some exploring of the beautiful villages along the Danube up from Vienna?
Durnstein, Melk, Grein, Enns, are all wonderful. If you are up to it, try biking this area as we have done...excellent experience!
