Switzerland : Davos or Gstaad?
 

I have a choice to select Davos or Gstaad in Switzerland. I am not a skier. Which one will be better and interesting in first week of October? <BR> <BR>Quick response please!

Good morning. Between Davos and Gstaad, both are towns in beautiful locations, in summer both are good hiking areas. Davos has a population of about 12,000 and Gstaad about 6,000. Gstaad is a winter resort of the elite and would think summer prices would reflect this. My choice would be Davos because I think you can find a larger assortment of hotels and ristorantes to fit your needs and it also has a casino in the Hotel Europa. Thanks for your prompt input. I have decided to visit Gstaad, with the possibility of visiting Interlaken, and other spots nearby. Living in Los Angeles, I have found that Casinos in Las Vegas are the best compared to even that in Monte Carlo. Reading about Davos I found that Skiing is the best there. In Gstaad, places such as Montreux, Laussane and Geneva can be reached easily. <BR> <BR>Thanks again for your response.
