Switzerland and what other country is near?
 

We are planning our trip and thinking now of going to Geneva for 3 days, Lucerne for 3 days (and taking day trips from both places) and then another country for 2 days.

What other country is close that you would recommend? I don't want to go to France or Italy since I've been to both.

Is Brussels a nice place?

If you look at a map, you'll see that Switzerland borders France, Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein and Germany. It is a long way from Switzerland to Brussels which is the capital of Belgium.

Since you have already been to France and Italy(and don't want to return) I recommend Austria (innsbruck) or Germany (munich -east or the Rheine valley North)

But I will say you may want to reconsider Italy or France depending where you have been - if you have not been to Provonce you may wish to consider it, or the lakes district in Italy

I don't understand why you want to go to another country for two days if you have only 6 days for Switzerland?? There is so much to see between Geneva and Lucerne.

Brussels received some of the worst ratings on this forum.

Well, you could probably spend the whole time in Switzerland and see more of the country, but if you want to add another country perhaps you would be interested in Salzburg, Austria. Salzburg is a terrific city and wouldn't take too long to get to.
