Switzerland - Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann

My husband and I are thinking about staying at the Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann in Luzern. I read the reviews on trip advisor and researched the web site. I haven't found much on it on Fodors. Has anyone stayed there recently? If so could you please share your experience.
Thank you!

Personally, I like the hotels with view of Pilatus and/or Ruess/lake. So, I'd suggest the Des Alpes (lower cost) or, for a splurge of sorts, the Des Balances. They are in the Altstadt on the Reuss. River facing rooms on floors 3 or higher have great views.

The Wilden Mann used to be mentioned here quite frequently when Luzern hotels were being discussed.

I've stayed in and can recommend Des Balances, especially their riverview rooms and their restaurant. However, i am certain, even without looking, that it is more expensive than the Wilden Mann.

IMO you don't necessarily have to be right on the river; walking distances are fairly short IMO.

topping. Any other recommendations out there? I received a quote of 355CH for one night. Yikes, not sure I want to spend that for 3 nights.
Thanks!

I was just on Expedia and the rate was $250 (promotional rate). Are there any other web sites that may offer a lower fare. I'd love to get it to $200!
Thanks!
