Swiss Pass question

If you purchase a Swiss Pass for 3 people and get the 15% discount must all 3 go on all rail trips together? We will go on most trips together but sometimes our son will stay somewhere to ski while DH and I go off to explore together. There will always be at least 2 of us going to the same place. At no time will one of us take a train to somplace while the other two go to another. Is what I'm describing ok for the 15% discount?

Here's link that might give you more information.

It asks you if ALL people will be traveling at ALL times together. You a answer "yes" or "no". If "no", then the price slightly changes for 2 adults and 1 Youth (up to age 25). This will still include the 15% discount.

Thanks Kenav. I think we'll get two saver passes for DH and me and one non-saver for our adult son since the two of us will always be traveling together and he will be with one time and then not, etc. We'll still get 15% discount for 2 of the three tickets. Also thinking to buy the passes when we get to Zurich train station. Eliminates the possibility of leaving them home.

The only problem with those "all people at all times" occurs when one person gets sick and cannot do a day trip, etc. It can also be problematic when somebody absolutely does not want to go to some particular place and everybody else does.

Give yourself some flexibility as IMO it is worth any extra money.

Thanks Dukey. You're right but in my case I'm pretty sure DH wouldn't go without me nor I without him, so if we stick with just the 2 of us and sonny a separate ticket, I'm pretty sure we'll be ok and we'll save 250 or so.
