T39ja, the Park Hotel in Vitznau is fantastic. An old grande dame but recently renovated with great taste. The hotel itself is very special but the town of Vitznau can be seen in under an hour, so much so that I was bored just waiting for the steamer to return to take us back to Lucerne after we had lunch at the Park. So if you stay there you'd best plan on steaming around to all the surrounding towns if you have need of any excitement.
