Swiss Casinos

Has anyone ever visited a Swiss casino? If so, can you please tell me what to expect. I've only been to one European casino and that was in Greece. Mainly I am interested in the following:

1. What games are offered and what are the minimum table limits? I'm hoping to find Blackjack and/or Caribbean Stud Poker.

2. Is there a dress code?

3. Is there a charge to get in, as there was in Greece? If so, how much?

4. Are the drinks free? They were in Greece, but you had to tackle someone to get it.

5. Any other info is welcome.

Thanks as always.

Technically speaking, this isn't in Switzerland: it's an Italian enclave near Lugano, entirely surrounded by Swiss territory.

But the casino in Campione does offer the two games that interest you, and www.casinocampione.it/game_00.html gives you most of the details.

Well I know there's a casino in Montreux. But I've not been inside. They have a gorgeous pool with day passes available that's one of my favorite hang-outs. Sorry, I know this doesn't answer anything except the location of one possibility for you.

The last time I visited a Swiss Casino in Zurich ( 10 years or so ago) they had a very simple game similar to roulette. The only catch was that the maximum bet was 5 Swiss Francs! I won the first spin (betting on red) and told them to "Let it ride" whereupon they gave me 5 Francs and said that 5 was the maximum bet. So I took the other 5 off the table and left never to return to a Swiss Casino! Of course the drinks were not free and there were not very many players at the height of the tourist season. Maybe they have changed things since I played- But I don't go to Switzerland to gamble- Too many Indian places here in the states-

Good evening, PM Have been into Swiss casinos in Luzern, Weggis, Interlaken
and Lugano. Also to Di Campione de Itala while in Lugano and the Casino
Municipale di Venezia both on the Lido and in Cannaregio.
Games offered are European Roulette ( with one zero)... Slot machines, video poker machines, and boule... Slot machines in CH also have a "skill" factor built into their payoffs of which the machine reels will indicate
a payoff, but an additional depressing a button at a specific moment is necessary to complete the payoff. Suggest you have a slot attendent explain the slot payoffs as you can sometimes loose your payoff... See www.swisscasinos.ch for a majority of
casinos in CH. Have not seen blackjack
or CSP....Some casinos do have a dress code around the high stake games, requiring a jacket, if you do not have one, they will supply. Do not recall a charge for entry in casinos in CH, however Venice did have a 10Eur fee.
Can not recall anyone offering free drinks both in IT and CH.
Swiss Casinos are located in Davos, Lugano, St. Moritz, Schaffhausen, Rheinfelden, Locarno, Berne, Baden,Geneva,Thun,Weggis, Luzern, Interlaken,Biel, Saxon, Gstaad, Crans-Sur-Sierce, Arosa, Herisau, Brunnen, and Zurich..Some are seasonal small are small and others quite large. Seaarch within "Switzerland Casinos" for more detailed informations...
