Swimming in Algarve late September

Hello,

Does anybody know whether the water is usually warm
enough in Albufeira area to go for a swim
in late September beginning October?
Will you also be able to recommend a good
beach-bront hotel in Albufeira that is close
to restaurants and the town itself.

Thank you

LMT.. About 10 years ago I arrived at my time share rental at Valle Do Lobo with 2 other couples on Saturday the 30th of September. On Sunday my friends went to ogle the topless ladies laying out on our warm Sunny beach. I opted out to play golf. The next day it rained like hell and the weather turned chilly for the rest of the week. Never did get to hit the beaches during the visit. On Capri/Ischia in Italy, a year later we were still laying out the beaches until mid October, but I think that you will be lucky to get a lot of beach time in after the first or second week of October. Good luck..

PS...Albufeira was about 30 minutes to the west of where we were staying.
