Swansea - a trip report
 

My wife (Amanda) and me (Barry) are both elderly (I shall be 81 in 2 months) so anything we can do can be done by virtually anyone. We used to live near the coast in north Essex but have now moved to Knighton, Powys and have now been here for a fraction over one year. Being retired we can do what we like, when we like, and so we have a lot of exploring to do in this area.

We have done numerous day trips but this is the first time we've stayed away since our move. So why did we go to Swansea? I explain that in my blog http://www.beenthere-donethat.org.uk which is where the main trip report is. I do hope you'll visit the blog especially if you are inclined to think 'Why on earth would anyone want to visit Swansea' but I should advise you that writing is NOT my strong point and I apologise in advance for unleashing this on the world.

I have posted only the first installment so far but further installments can be expected (Sorry!).

We spent an afternoon and night in Swansea in 2014; though we didn't get to see a lot, I wouldn't mind a return trip. I'm enjoying your trip report.

We stayed near the Marina. I'd be interested to know in what geographical location in Swansea you stayed. Just curoisity.

We stayed downtown at a Travelodge, near the Waterfront Museum and the Dylan Thomas Centre.
