You honor both Susan and yourself with this report.
Thank you. |
You've written an extraordinary report on life, love, Paris, and food. I feel honored to have read it. Thank you.
|
Such a beautiful tribute to your wife, and her Paris, the place you so lovingly shared together, and now you share it with us - thank you so much.
|
All I can say is lovely. Both your report and your memories and dedication to your wife.
|
So touching, I'm glad to hear that you were able to enjoy Paris without Susan, she would be happy I bet!
I had to wait to read this on a day off so I could cry too! |
Just beautiful, AA.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. ((F)) |
You had me with the title - what a touchingly bittersweet memorial. Thank you.
|
I can't thank you enough for this wonderful report and tribute to your lovely Susan. It takes a special person to share such deep emotions with all of us. Whether you have met us or not. You and Stu Dudley were so kind when you sent me various trip reports of your past trips. Thanks again, Anselm, for such a sweet, poignant, and sometimes humourous report. Bless!

Hello E,
I've been away in Montreal the past few days so only just came across this thread today. I've missed your postings, and am very much touched by this one as I've been by all your previous ones. Such a wonderful tribute to your much loved wife. Good to have you back again, and thanks for sharing in such a delightful way. The pictures are lovely and I look forward to reading more. Best, M |
Thank you for thos beautiful report. I wish I could write my feelings as well. I lost my husband after a terminal illness
and I play our last Trip to France over and over in my head. |
Mimi, I thought of you while I was in France. It is so, so difficult, isn't it?
And to everyone else, I am so overwhelmed. Thanks so much for your empathy. Ernie |
Beautiful.

Your writing is as beautiful as ever. This time, however, you triggered both smiles and tears. This is a wonderful tribute, thank you for sharing.
|
I am weeping both for the depth of your loss and the beauty of your words. Thank you for sharing this remarkable memory.

AA-
How unbelievably moving this is. I am grateful that you are willing to share and happy for your time with Susan. I am so glad you have returned to Paris. It's too special to be lost...Paris goes on living and breathing. Such a lovely tribute to her and your time together. As we return to Paris in November, I will think of you and visit some of your loved places. |
Beautiful report, AA. Unfortunately, I know Bichat all too well, as well as Lariboisière, Bretonneau, Tenon and various clinics, as I accompany my mother in her final years. These hospitals have become old friends, and it soothes me to know that my mother is getting the best possible care, even when she is hooked up to machines and tubes.
