Surf School
 

I want to learn to surf! does anyone know where the best place is for a total beginner?! I'll probably go in September and don't want anything too expensive! <BR> <BR>Charlotte :-)

Charlotte, I'll give you the only help I can. I live in southern California and the only surf school I know of is Corky Carroll's school (past surfing champion). I looked in the phone book and couldn't find a number though. There are lots of surf shops all over the beach cities. If you are really determined, E mail me and I'll send you some phone numbers. They should be able to refer you.

Where do you want to go, posters don't always realize that there specific post (Hawaii?) shows up under the general heading as well. <BR> <BR>You probaby don't need lessons, just a place to rent a good board and then practice (guys on the beach will be willing to give you all the advice/help you need). <BR> <BR>Good luck, and remember -- catch a wave and you're sittin' on top of the world. <BR> <BR>
