TRIP REPORT - LECLERC
After a discussion about Leclerc hypoermarches before i left i made a point of trekking a mile or so over to the industrial zone, where in between warehouses and abandoned rail spurs, is the local E Leclerc emporium
I have been visiting this Leclerc for a few decades now and each time i return i find the store spiffier, less congested and clerks less robotic.
The store is brightly lit and though not nearly as big in surface area as the nearby Carrefour it was indeed very very crowded - the displays in the food sections were really topnotch - fruits, vegs, etc. - Years ago it was less inviting. The breads and pastries looked really fresh, etc.
Impression - Leclerc is now more like any other French hypermarche, if a bit smaller, and seems to be a very inviting and popular store.

Well, I cannot believe this! I thought that my sister in law and I were the only people who loved the grocery stores and little local grocery stores. We always seek them out and I just love it. I have found so many unique things to try out this way and you usually cannot beat the wine selection. I love this thread! I will be going to the Netherlands in June and cannot wait to check their grocery stores out. This is fun.
