summer sales in Italy
 

I'm planning a trip to Europe next year and would like to stop by Milan at the end for fashion shopping. Does anyone know when will the big summer sales begin and end? Would that be too late if we get there at the end of July? Thank you.

I've gone to Italy several times during the summer months and it seems like the sales start in July and do run for awhile (through August, if not end of August). If there is a particular store or chain you are interested in going to, look them up online via the yahoo.it site and it will pull up information.

The sales will likely be on but at that late date the selection will be scanty at most places.

Typically the sales start around the first-second week of July, but it does vary.
