suites at Best Western Paddington?

Has anybody stayed in one of the studio suites at the Best Western Paddington? Are they worth the extra $$?

No I have not. But neither would I, judging from the reviews at Tripadvisor.com, some of whose headings I reproduce below:

"Stay away!!!!!!"
"Cannot imagine a worse place to stay"
"Worst service ever! Save yourself the trouble..."
"Not the best Best Western in the world"
"You Get What You Pay For...hmmm"

Some posters, however, indicate they liked it -- which explains why it rates #843, rather than lower still, among the 901 London listings for which ratings are provided.

Yes, I've seen the tripadvisor comments. But someone on this board mentioned the suites seemed nicer than the rest of the hotel, and the hotel's website mentions that they've been recently renovated.

Which is why I'd like to hear from someone who has actually stayed in one of the suites.

Yes. I have stayed at both the hotel and the suites. The hotel is not good in my opinion, the suites were muvh better. The hotel rooms were small, cramped soiled and not clean. We found the suites to be much better, clean, and with extra room. Both lack a decent breakfast.

Thanks Roger.

I'm not really concerned about the breakfast, as the suite sounds like it has a coffee maker and a refrigerator (I don't eat much for breakfast anyway).

Out of curiosity, did you stay in a standard or an executive suite? I couldn't find any description of the difference between the two.

Jim
