Suggestions on wineries in Provence?
 

I will be in Provence at the end of April for 6 days. Our little group wants to visit some wineries. Does anyone out there have a favorite vinyard? And where is it located? We will be staying in Avignon, and will have a car. Any input will be greatfully appriecated.

Take a drive to the wine villages of Rasteau,Gigondas, Chateauneuf De Pape,etc. They are all southern Rhone Valley towns and have great wines,as well as scenic towns. Enjoy!

Go to Cchateauneuf du Pape. It is about 12 miles from Avignon and it is a great place to taste wines. There are a lot of tasting caves and the wines are incredible!<BR><BR>My favorites:<BR><BR>1. Chateau Mont Redon<BR><BR>2. Vieux telegraphe<BR><BR>Enjoy!<BR><BR>US

Chateauneuf du pape has a very beautiful restaurand with a lovely terrace; &quot;Fine Roches&quot;

Cigale,<BR><BR>Thank you!<BR><BR>I tried to remember the name of that restaurant as I was posting. My wife and I ate there on our visit. <BR><BR>It was wondeful and the view of Avignon from the terrace was magnificent and the wine, was of course outstanding!<BR><BR>US
