Strike - again in France Tomorrow
Ah France and their strikes... a national one for tomorrow.
We inform you that a national strike will take place on april 28.
Because of that:
- Air controllers will strike. DGAC requires airlines to offer a maximum of 20% cancellations at Paris-Orly airport. Other airports in the country could face disruptions.
- Public transportation could also be disrupted in the country, especially RER B from Paris to CDG airport.
We invite travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport and visit SNCF for trains details.

I just read that 1 in 2 TGVs will be running. Hope we get on one. We may get stuck in Bordeaux, too, because the Aquitaine TER trains are affected.
You can check www.cestlagreve.fr for further information - though it's pretty sparse.

Go directly to the Eurostar website for updates. This train operates a little differently from the other TGVs.
Reports are that trains will operate on a 50% basis, as StCirq said. But you should expect significant delays, since some people will be exchanging tickets, etc.
There is also a newspaper delivery strike today...
Kerouac's right - 'tis the season, but it's not even May, yet!

I am actually refraining from flying Lufthansa. They have been as said wayyy to often on strike recently.
Last I booked with them I had to take a train instead - 6 hours on the train, quite late on arrival and one night in between instead of a quick in and out day meeting.
Grrr.
