Suggestions for Europe Vacation
 

My husband and I will be spending 5 days in Paris in early August. From there we would like to spend another week but are having a hard time deciding where to go. A few thoughts we have - London (although I'm not sure I want to do another big city after Paris), Croatia, Greece, Switzerland or Germany. Any suggestions? We are looking for something quaint, relaxing, good food & outdoor activities (we love being by water whether it be ocean or lake). Thanks!

Bernese Oberland, Switzerland (Grindelwald, Wengen, Murren, Lauterbrunnen.

Heaven on earth, breathtaking views, can visit the jungfraujoch or the Schilthorn. Hotel Belvedere in Grindelwald is a great hotel with incredible food.

Bernese Oberland is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit on this planet!

Prague

Why not the Alsace region of France and/or the Rhine/Mosel River area of Germany?

Otherwise, I'd have to agree on the Bernese Oberland area of Switzerland.

Croatia is unbelievably beautiful and/or you could always do one of the Greek islands if you were so inclined.

Please note that most of Paris shuts down in August as the entire city goes on holiday so many places may be closed. Also, you should definitely book sooner rather than later as hotels have a tendency to fill up quickly throughout Europe in August.
